Consultations are by appointment. The initial consultation will usually take an hour. This will involve collecting personal information including your medical history, weight history, usual eating pattern and your level of activity.
This information will be used to develop an individualized eating plan to meets your goals. We will provide you with relevant information, counselling and coaching to help you implement change. A follow-up appointment is usually recommended within 2-4 weeks. A follow-up appointment will take 20 to 40 minutes.
A doctor’s referral is not necessary. However, any pathology reports or other relevant medical information can be useful.
Diabetes Education
Both our dietitians are qualified diabetes educators and can assist you with diabetes self management. Topics of interest may include:

- Blood glucose monitoring

Group Education Sessions
We are in the process of developing group diabetes education sessions. These sessions aim develop skills to self manage your diabetes.

Aged Care
Our dietitians are available to assist clients in aged care facilities with nutritional support and management. Home visits can be arranged for individual assessment.
Group Home
Residents of group homes can be seen by our dietitians for individual assessment and management. Home visits can be arranged or an appointment booked at the rooms with a carer attending with the client.
